Our daycare consists of different corners : dolls, kitchen/home, reading, science, music, baby toys, arts and crafts, legos and blocks, cars, tools, dress up, etc. Dividing a daycare into corners helps raise an organised mind and keeps everything at an eye/hand reaching level. They also helps focus creativity as they are not in the middle of a chaos of toys.
Using the Active learning method, we teach children with a democratic attitude. They learn by everyday interaction with objects and arrive to conclusions by themselves.
We have monthly themed calendar: every month, we have a new subject that we talk about. The arts and crafts reflect this theme and at the end of the month, a booklet of there work will be sent home.
